Girls’ vision for the future: Project Concern Zambia joins the world in celebrating the power of girls’ voices and vision for the future!
This year’s theme resonates with us and today we honor the young girls and women who are helping us to amplify the vulnerable girls’ voices in the communities we work Through the Chimwemwe Teens! or Adolescents Agents of Change (AACs) we are increasing the participation of girls in development initiatives.

The Chimwemwe Teens!lead the meaningful and active engagement of adolescent girls and young women and their networks in shaping, implementing, evaluating HIV prevention, cervical cancer prevention, and sexual and reproductive health programs; and using evidence to hold service providers accountable!

UNICEF sums it up well: “When girls lead, the impact is immediate and wide reaching: families, communities and economies are all stronger, our future brighter” To the Chimwemwe teens and the Community Case Workers who are helping us to reach over 39,000 vulnerable girls in our program, we are your allies who listen to and respond to your needs, and we will help you achieve that vision for the future!
To our donors USAID/Zambia, The Helmsley Charitable Trust, Churches Health Association of Zambia and The Global Fund Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance we remain thankful for helping us to be allies of the girl child! hashtaginternationaldayofthegirl hashtaggirlchildeducation hashtagadolescents hashtagyouthempowerment hashtagcommunitysupport hashtaghealthcare hashtagZambia hashtagUSwithZambia hashtagProjectConcernZambia
