Empowered by Financial Literacy: Thanks to USAID ECAP II and FNB!

Our mission is to empower communities in Zambia to enhance health, protect and nurture girls, end hunger, and overcome hardship.

Living in poverty increases the risk of young women and girls experiencing violence. When we increase financial opportunities for women, entire communities can benefit!
That is why USAID and FNB came together to train 38 community facilitators on financial literacy. These trainers will use what they’ve learned to provide financial literacy training to over 500 women’s savings groups reaching over 10,000 members in Southern and Central provinces.
Women’s savings groups offer safe and easy ways to save money and give members easy access to small, flexible loans or emergency grants.

I recently had the incredible opportunity to attend a Financial Literacy training organized by the USAID ECAP II Project Concern Zambia and facilitated by FNB. What an eye-opener! The training really helped me understand so much more about managing my finances, saving smarter, and planning for a brighter future.

In today’s world, things are changing so fast, especially when it comes to money. This training gave me valuable knowledge and skills that I can use to make better financial decisions, both in my personal life and at work. I’m already thinking about how I can share what I learned with my colleagues and friends!

A big thank you to USAID ECAP II Project and #FNB for putting together such an impactful initiative! It’s so important to keep learning and growing, and this training definitely helped me do that.
